Revlon ‘Suede’ is a collection of four pastel shades of nail polish—aqua, buttery yellow, lilac, and beige.

And although Essie, OPI, and (yes) Chanel do dip their fingernails in the pastel pool, they’re more expensive and less accessible than a pack of Revlon polish.

Oh, also?  These colors are shiny, happy, and easy to wear.  And you can never underestimate the importance of fun colors with great prices! I’m feeling the Beige. 8)

$3.99 each.  Coming soon to Target, or you can hunt for them yourselves at drugstores near you!

I received this book titled: No Regrets: 101 Fabulous Things to Do Before You’re Too Old, Married, or Pregnant! By Sarah Ivens as a birthday gift and decided to thumb the pages last nite.  Was I in for a treat?  As I near 30, I found this book to be refreshing, informative, & a  very pleasant read.

In Sarah Ivens’s “No Regrets,”  she dishes up 101 things you should experience before you’re too old, married or pregnant. In the introduction, Ivens says that soon after turning 30, she had an Oh Shit! moment — where am I going, what have I done, what have I missed out on?

“What I regret now are the chances not taken,” she writes. “I look back and resent the time I wasted on faux friends, or office gossip, or working for cruel bosses.”

As I turned the pages, I was pleasantly surprised that most of them I’ve never thought of doing but will now consider. But there were a few things I thought were right on point and should be mandatory for all women. And since I’ve done every last one of them I thought I should share it with my virtual fam( SEE the list below ).

Life is about living so even if you are not getting old, getting married or getting pregnant, you should be enjoying life every step of the way. Embrace your fabulousness and live with no regrets!! Enjoy!

The resort collection by Chloé collection tells of the journey of a young girl into femininity and her adventures along the way. These looks are fresh and simple.  I like the high-waisted bottoms, the not so fussy fabrics, & neutral shades.  Dig’n the 70’s feel!

Fall already?! I don’t know if I’m ready to let go of summer quite yet (seeing how it just started yesterday and all), but the new, limited edition Bobbi Brown Denim & Rose Palette ($60) is tempting me to embrace the thought of autumn leaves and snugly cable knit sweaters. I’m serious about my Bobbi Brown! Sorry MAC girls 8)

Hope you and yours enjoyed the 4th of July holiday. I, myself, had a BLAST w/my gal pals & la familia.  This year was the 1st yr in FOR-EVER that we didn’t grill out.  It was really weird, yet relaxing.  I didn’t miss my annual kitchen-aid duties (lol).  The wkend mainly consisted of partying, eating, drinking, & tons of laughs.  We celebrated my girl Nikia’s Born Day & boy oh boy will this one go down in the books. My summer reign continues w/only weeks left until I hit the books again.

Here are some pictures from my past visit w/Nicci B in the Chi & the Day of Independence in Arkansas(in that order).

Solange Knowles opens her suitcase for a shoot with  Refinery 29 at New York’s Standard Hotel.  The singer who recently celebrated her 24th birthday reveals her style inspirations, her love for shoes and the inspiration behind her upcoming album in stores this fall.

Solange donns a collection of gorgeous looks, showing her mix of high-end and street style from a Boxing Kitten top, Urban Outfitter intimates and studded Louboutin oxfords.

Heart these shots, showing a young artist, mother, daughter and sister coming into her very own:: one deejay set and afro tendril at a time. Go Solange!

What’s your secret style weapon?
“Shoes! I’m all about the shoes! I order a ton of them online and play with my entire wardrobe until I find the right shoe. Unfortunately, so many people get it right from the head until the ankles. The shoe is very important. I can’t even fuck with you if your shoe game is slacking.”

What inspired the bold new ‘do? You mentioned you can no longer hide with that hair, has it changed the way you see yourself?
“When I was recording, I was staying in a house with five guys and two showers. I knew there would be a shower wait everyday and with my natural cropped hair, it’s mandatory that I wash it otherwise it gets stuck to my head like glue! I wanted to get something that I could literally roll out of bed without looking nuts. I watched so many Chaka Khan YouTube videos and became sort of obsessed with her during the process. I went to my stylist and said ‘Give me the fro.’ I walk differently now, sing differently; This hair has spirit and soul.”

What’s your best cheap score of late?
“A cream leather belt with a gold buckle I found at a vintage store in Santa Barbara for ten bucks. I wear it with everything now.” (SEE BELT IN PICTURE BELOW–love the mix of high & lo..iDig it ! )

Do you have anything in your closet that you could never bear to throw away?
“Oh yes! A few things, but one in particular sticks out: A BCBG short, ruffled, floral, baby doll dress I’ve had since I was 16. I wore it at my wedding reception when I was 17. The waistline comes up to the middle of my boobs now, but I just can’t let go of it. It’s so perfect.”

If your style were a song, what song would it be?
“For sure Q-Tip’s ‘Vivrant Thang’.”
